Good News for Everyone stories

The story of our bells and how they are being revived.

BBC Spotlight interviewed Rev Matt in St George’s church on 3rd January and filmed new bell-ringers from St Lawrence, Bigbury learning to ring.

St Lawrence will shortly be installing their six newly re-cast bells and their new team of bell ringers are being trained by St George’s bell ringers.

A fascinating story of bells re-cast and the ancient art of bellringing revived.

Congratulations to everyone involved and especially to the team at Bigbury who have worked so tenaciously to reach this milestone.

All welcome.

Just turn up, or for more information email Sara.

A new Lay Reader for our Mission Community:the Licensing of Gilbert.

Gilbert (Gil) Snook was licensed as a Lay Reader for the 5 parishes of our Mission Community on Saturday 1st October.  Beginning with a beautiful service at Exeter Cathedral, he embarks upon an exciting new chapter in the growth of our churches.

Gil will be supporting Rev Matt and we are praying for him as he leads services around the parishes.  We ask for God’s continued blessing on his ministry.

He is pictured here in the centre during his Licensing Ceremony.

Exciting plans for St George’s church building.
