Gilbert (Gil) Snook was licensed as a Lay Reader for the 5 parishes of our Mission Community on Saturday 1st October. Beginning with a beautiful service at Exeter Cathedral, he embarks upon an exciting new chapter in the growth of our churches.
Gil will be supporting Rev Matt and we are praying for him as he leads services around the parishes. We ask for God’s continued blessing on his ministry.
He is pictured here in the centre during his Licensing Ceremony.
Frances has completed her training as an Ordinand within Modbury Mission Community, based mainly in Aveton Gifford.
Huge congratulations to her on her Ordination which took place on 10th September 2022.
We pray for every blessing upon her and her family and give thanks for her calling and ministry.
Pictured here outside Exeter Cathedral, irrepressible :)
Bishop James was consecrated at Westminster Abbey on 29th September 2022.
Pictured here, left to right:
The Archbishop of Canterbury, The Bishop of Plymouth, James, The Bishop of Crediton, Jackie and The Bishop of London, Sarah.
We pray that our new Bishop will be a messenger who deals in the good news of Jesus Christ, an angel to the people of Plymouth.
As we continue to pray for this worn-torn country, do come along to our prayer meetings.
St George’s Church open for prayer 10am - 4pm daily or join us 12 - 12.15pm in Modbury on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
